Review of The Life Before Her Eyes (2007) by Yara M — 02 Jul 2008
The movie is shot well, the acting is also good. But I'm giving this movie a low rating because the people who made this movie failed to execute the concept on which the entire movie is based. There are hints everywhere, but the fact that this is all a hallucination should have been thrown in the face of the audience; but it wasn't.
The filmmakers take themselves too seriously, and try to resort to the now cliche "mysterious" aspect in an effort to have the audience take them more seriously. The editing and direction should have been completely redone.
A major disappointment considering the promising concept the film is entirely based on--but the execution fails.
