Review of The Life Before Her Eyes (2007) by James L — 07 May 2011
It's unfortunate that you can watch this movie and as it ends be left with a sensation that you had no idea of what was going on. It's clear that the 'survivor guilt' Diana has lived with is far more complex but, to be honest, I had to turn to the internet after watching the movie to have it explained.
So yes, some clarity was lost. I don't think a reasonably intelligent person should be left that confused by the ending. I also wonder if it would be satisfying to watch the movie knowing the ending.
Be that as it may, it's still very interesting and well acted. I'd certainly encourage one to watch it especially if you enjoy psychological thrillers.
