More uneven than previous films in the Wes Anderson canon (Royal Tenenbaums remains my favorite). Nonetheless, Life Aquatic features a reliably fantastic soundtrack and imaginative visuals. The film's ending was particularly well done, and the action twist was nicely done.
Willem Dafoe & Jeff Goldbum give outstanding performances amongst the gang of unorthodox characters.
