Review of The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004) by Kinch K — 01 Jun 2010
In my (highly contentious) opinion this is Wes Anderson's best film; it has all the elements that make his other films great - quirky humour, a strong emotional undercurrent, endless invention, an amazing soundtrack - but in addition there are an array of fantastical sea creatures populating this film, plus a scene with a shark and a submarine that never fails to squeeze a tear from my usually barren ducts.
