A failure. Like a bunch of jigsaw puzzle or boardgame pieces (characters, setting, music) that don't go together. I was hoping at least that Cate Blanchett would be revealed as Bill Murray's daughter (after,that is, the two had sex together, mourning the death of Owen Wilson).
Why can't Wes Anderson make a film explicitly about his childhood, and about film-making, and get it all out of his system?
