Review of The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou (2004) by Connor L — 26 Feb 2013
From the beginning of this movie, I was anticipating a quirky film about a father-son relationship. It is so much more than that. Bill Murray is fantastic in this movie, and you really can connect with his character.
This Anderson movie does lack a bit of humanity at points, but it's so artistic that you barely notice, The film is always entertaining, and I loved the art direction and style. There are some flaws, like how some resolutions happened far too quickly, but it's still an outstanding film.
