"Life Aquatic", through the quirky and whimsical photography of Wes Anderson captures a unique and surprisingly compelling take on the classic father/ son relationship as portrayed in much of western cinema; viewers unfamiliar with Anderson's style of moviemaking and humour will perhaps be disappointed in the surface plot but stylistically there is no question this film makes splashes for all audiences to enjoy.
