Geoffery Rush is outstanding in the lead role, as he both plays Peter Sellers and also morphs into Sellers playing many of the other lead characters along the way. He brings Sellers in all his glory back to life brilliantly but also shows a darker side of delusions and cruelty.
The impression is given that the creation of much of the latter was the responsibility of Sellers' over-protective mother, played beautifully here by Mirian Margoyles.
