Review of The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp (1943) by Paul C — 18 Jun 2007
Another Powell & Pressburger classic, Livesey is simply riveting as the titular blowhard. And Kerr is radiant as his recurring love. Like 'Tin Drum,' I think this film should be required viewing for any student of the World Wars.
This is an epic in all the best senses of that word.
