Review of The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp (1943) by Phil W — 09 Jul 2007
This is genius. Yeah it is about war, but it's more about people; like the friendship between Clive and Theo might show. It also looks at how generations have to move on and accept that times change.
Roger Livesey is terrific. The film is lush and beautiful (like most Powell & Pressburger) and is an absolute treat on every level.
