Review of The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp (1943) by James K — 15 May 2010
There's simply no denying the excelllence of this movie, if for no other reason than in this age of bloated blockbusters that tend to drag when they hit two hours, this film's three hours whizz by without notice.
A quality movie that has a powerful lesson to convey about how we all start off young and vibrant, and yet are destined to end up as the old people a younger generation despises, or worse yet, pities.
But artfully told with a moving story of love and friendship across the years. Exceptional.
