Review of The Librarian: Return to King Solomon's Mines (2006) by Nawie M — 01 Jan 2011
I was glad when they produced a sequel for the Librarian. Return to King Solomon`s Mines is definetaly my fav part from all the 3. "The Librarian".
There were some lacks in the details, but I was surprised that Gede was mentioned in a Movie never heard or saw Gede in any Adventure Movies before. Jonathan Frakes did a great research except some tiny details. Gedi is not in North Kenia its in South East Kenia. Between Mombasa and Malindi.
But all around this Movie is just fantastic.
Amazing.
The fact that the Kenian Goverment allowed them to Film in Gede, Bravo Jonathan Frakes. Many "Hollywood and Bollywood Directors tried to get permission to Film in Gede for so many years, no chance, I wonder how did Jonathan Frakes convinced them? No I dont think it was Money. So far my Knowledge Gede is a very tabu topic in Kenia for a Foreigner.
Gede is a lovely place well all left are ruins with sad but very interesting History.
