Review of The Levelling (2017) by Dawdlingpoet — 27 Nov 2021
This is quite a grim watch, due to the plot of course. Its certainly an atmospheric watch, with suitably spooky sounding music played in the background. The main theme, I reckon, is isolation - more specifically rural isolation - that, trust and secrets.
Its a somewhat thoughtful watch but it was a bit grim for mea nd the plot pace is relatively slow. Its not bad as a character focussed drama though. As a British indie film, I would recommend this, yes.
