Review of The Letters (2014) by Thomas A — 22 May 2016
Beautiful and inspiring movie. Excellent to watch with the family and discuss themes such as sacrifice, charity, love, and kindness. She exemplified loving God and others and putting others before herself.
They mentioned that she felt abandoned by God in one of her letters. I think this may have been blown out of proportion. However, I have not read the letters where this information was shared. Everyone feels down sometimes.
..even Jesus was considered the Suffering Servant and a Man of Sorrow. It should not be surprising that she experienced suffering and sorrow in her total devotion. It never hampered her from continuing to love and minister all of her life.
God filled her with the joy and love she needed to serve and live righteously She always gave Him all the glory for her works produced by faith. I do not know that much about her beyond what I learned in this movie, but I was impressed and inspired by how the movie portrayed her.
I recommend the movie to all those who consider themselves followers of Christ.
