I Really Don't Understand the Low Critic Response.
This is a perfect film. From the moment it starts till the very end, a ten out of ten. It's so charming and loving and devastating all rolled together and I was crying thought the whole film. Even afterwards I was in tears. I couldn't control them. Full blown waterworks, not just a simple single tear.
This is Helen Mirren's film and she shines! I really do hope that this film sees some nominations next year. She definitely has my vote for Best. The best Actor title should also go to Donald Sutherland for his performance in this film! He did a superb job and just thinking about it has my eyes wet once more. This is a beautiful film about long lasting love and the pain of getting old. So very sweet & touching and I can;t recommend this film enough.
Go and see a perfect film. Give it the recognition it deserves. Also, bring soft tissues. My eyes are still sore.
Even though the year is still young, this is my favourite film by far and I know it will be in the top of the list by year's end!
