Sneaky good. A movie for grown-ups. Have lived through the aging issues with my dad a few years back and am beginning to face them myself. LIke the Sutherland character, late in life, my dad could remember complicated aerobatics he taught fledgling British pilots in 1939 but had trouble finding his way home from Tampa airport.
Sutherland poignantly captures similar moments of lucidity that turn on a dime to pained forgetfulness. Thought Mirren did a great job playing a country gal from the South, and the Italian director and cinematographer did a fine job capturing the back roads of the American East.
