The Lego Movie puts a brand new name on brand based movies. While abominations like the Garbage Pal Kids Movie are just hopeless cash cows, the Lego Movie just wanted to make a good movie. And they pull it off perfectly.

The best thing about this movie was the script. It was hilarious, original, and heartfelt. This is the probably one of the most consistent comedies of all time. There's very frequent jokes, and every single one is funny. I've seen this movie many, many times, and I still can't resist laughing at the jokes. The story is also amazing. It's very original and has some really good themes. It's fast and fun, and also very heartfelt.

The voice acting is this movie is also phenomenal. Chris Pratt does amazing as Emmett. He really does a great job conveying the emotions of Emmett through his voice. Definitely one of the best voice performances ever done. Other notable performances are Will Arnett's hilarious take on Batman, and Liam Nieson playing the good cop and the bad cop.

The animation in this movie is also worth noting. It's very well polished and well done. There's a lot of side jokes that just come from the animation. This movie is full of Easter eggs and most of them are in the background. The sequences where characters are building things, mainly one towards the end of the movie, are very well animated and visually interesting.

Overall, this movie is fast, fun, gut bustingly hilarious, and very heartfelt. The voice acting is amazing and the animation is great. The Lego Movie is fun for all ages.
