Don't get me wrong it's not a bad movie, just not for me. The Lego Batman Movie is extremely creative, yet dull. This film relies heavily on references and poking fun at Batman lore. This film has a generic plot, similar to that of 'The Lego Movie'.
This film feels like a spin-off, in that it has no consequences and feels somehow small scale, which is fine. The movie is very fun and more child friendly than the previous Lego film. The voice acting is great, and it's a fun movie, it just feels like it lacks some heart, and just feels like a Lego movie put out there for the sake of merchandising.
