Review of The Legend Trip (2006) by Bill S — 04 Mar 2010
I was quite surprised to find that despite it's low budget, the problems I had with it were not technical. There is some problems with audio and effects, but not a lot. Instead, we're given a visual feast and overall some pretty good performances. Sadly, that doesn't make this movie good. The editing sometimes makes the story incomprehensible, and believe me, the story is incomprehensible by itself. We never get to follow a core group of characters. We're bounced through time following past deaths of characters we don't care about, and I'd be surprised to find out if our four main characters had screen time over 30 minutes.
With that being said, it's still better than most of the indie films coming out of Wisconsin, and I give it props for that. The shot selection and lighting add value to this otherwise lackluster flick.
