Review of The Legend of Zorro (2005) by Sean S — 04 Aug 2012
While Martin Campbell and the cast stated in interviews that they wanted to make the sequel have a more layered, complex plot, the results are little better than average and ultimately pretty scattershot.
The cast, as some critics have pointed out, have somehow lost touch and chemistry, and the addition of son Joaquin does not help matters or make for a more involving film. Not without its moments, but they are too few and far between to make it completely measure up to the first.
