Review of The Legend of Tarzan (2016) by Allan C — 22 Jul 2016
Fairly dreadful. Not much of a plot. There is a bunch of nonsense about Christophe Waltz's character trying to capture Tarzan so that he can present him to some African tribal leader for some reason having something to do with diamonds, but I never cared too much.
The whole thing was really just an excuse to have Tarzan ride through the jungle and save Jane who is ultimately captured by Waltz. Of course you're never at any point actually worried for Jane's safety.
There is nothing new here. At some point it started to grab my attention but it quickly lost that as the film wandered into its final third. This is very safely skippable stuff.
