Review of The Legend of Tarzan (2016) by Naomi M — 04 Nov 2016
First off Jane as miscast. Next, I wanted to see the fun side of Tarzan prior to all the fighting. He didn't have much dialog in the beginning which doesn't give you enough sense of who he is and without the fun shown, the bits of humor later kinda land flat.
His relationship with Samuel Jackson just never quite clicked. I really liked the movie instead of its flaws. Another flaw? The mating call scene...cut it. The animals in the end? Not very believable but overall a good effort.
And Christopher Waltz should have been killed by a gorilla, not a crocodile. Had the cast Jane better, told a funner story to start n built to the fighting and deeper storyline, it would have been alot better.
More scenes of him in the begining, laying out to us who he was and is would have helped.effects were amazing, and I'd watch it again, but it fell shot in a few ways.
