Nicely done as a straightforward romantic action adventure with a lot to say about the horrors visited on the native population by King Leopold & his minions & mercenaries. We are too far removed from nature to understand how his psychic link with the natural fauna could marshal them to the indiginaous people's defense.
Generic plot? Sluggish pace? Bah Humbug!
