(3 Stars) Seriously, you guys, The Legend of Hercules is not 3% Tomatometer bad. Granted, it's not really good, but a below 10% Tomatometer has to be Bucky Larson-insulting. Hercules is just very conventional and safe and "been there, seen that." It's not great, good, or terrible. It's just basic.
The comparisons to 300 are going to be many (lots of greenscreen, slow motion, muscly men), so it's nice any time Hercules tries something different. But I wish it was gory because the PG-13 rating makes it seem watered down. But despite that, some of the action is okay and I can't say I'm bored by it.
I think The Legend of Hercules is worth a rental if you like sword and sandal epics and you go in knowing it's not great.
