Review of The Legend of Boggy Creek (1972) by Julian T — 14 Sep 2011
Even though it sometimes feels a bit long in the tooth this docudrama horror format kicks the living piss out of more recent films of this style like The Blair Witch Project. Legend of Boggy Creek makes the most out of its miniscule budget by taking full advantage of its locales that I don't mind hanging out in the bottoms for its duration.
Even though it could have wrapped up what it had set out to do in half its running time there are some interesting moments in a rough sorta manner. This style would actually be done to a greater success in The Town That Dreaded Sundown but all in all not bad.
.& I don't fucking care what Flixster says David Hess is not featured in this.
