Review of The Legend of Bloody Mary (2008) by Traci P — 28 Nov 2008

I actually like this film. I enjoy watching the different versions that exist on Bloody Mary, this one was actually interesting and original. The thing with it is that since it was low budget they couldn't afford good actors, I mean the acting was unreal and amateur at best.

For the same reasons I guess they couldn't afford good or at least decent special effects. The ghost of Bloody Mary was fake and dowright ugly, instead of spooky and frightening. Anyways, they managed to get the plot right, it was interesting and the way it was complemented by flashbacks showed me how much time was put to the intelectual work.

That's always important, sometimes even more so than other things. That was the case in this film, although it lacked a lot of elements that would've made it great, they worked with what they had in a smart way and managed to make it good.
