Review of The Legend of Bagger Vance (2000) by Lisa I — 17 Jan 2010
While it's not as sweet as 'Tin Cup' or funny as 'Caddyshack', it's still a good golf movie. Theirs a lot of star power in this. Matt Damon, Will Smith, and Charlize Theron. Damon does a decent job of Savannah's own golfer, Junuh.
Will Smith does a fine job as Junuh's caddy, who plays something along the lines as magical. Theron though is horrible. Awful job of acting as trying to convince us as a golf course owner and Junuh's former love interest.
Robert Redford does an okay job of directing this film even though we could've gotten more of a back story rather than over an hour and a half of golf. 'Bagger Vance' is a hit in the rough, but still plays itself out to be fairly decent.
