Review of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003) by Derek D — 26 Aug 2012
This movie gets a horrible rep...from the moment it debuted it's taken quite a beating, but I really enjoyed it. It's taken from the comics and has a neat premise featuring a group of "heroes" taken from classic literature.
The cast is good and has a good mix of story and action in it, especially when Nemo starts kicking everyone's ass like he's owed money. Connery is great as Quatermain, a man who has been portrayed countless times over the years in cinema but the former Bond does the best job.
Not near as bad as it's been made out to be.
