Review of The Lazarus Effect (2015) by Brandon W — 17 Jul 2015
I remember hearing a bit from The Lazarus Effect from Blumhouse's filmography, and from one of my friend's that says that it's a good horror movie, although my best friend said that this was eh.
So with seeing this, The Lazarus Effect is a bit of a scary movie that is better than what I expected from the critics. The cast are pretty good, and the characters are good enough that I care about them and wanting them to survive which is rare in recent horror films.
The scares are really good, and the suspense is really effective. The ideas in here are really interesting, but I felt like it could've been more addressed or more deeper into it. The movie is pretty short which I'm kind of glad for it, and the kills are a bit different which is cool to see.
The soundtrack is kind of creepy, and the movie is pretty interesting to watch. The Lazarus Effect is a good horror film that actually could've been better given the ideas that they came up with, and I understand why my friend like it, and why my best friend find it eh.
