Review of The Lavender Hill Mob (1951) by Wayne H — 09 Jul 2010
Quaint little movie with Sir Alec Guiness in it. I like Guinness very much in his movies ... and I did enjoy this movie quite a bit. It's a nice little comedy with a surprising plot twist at the end.
The other thing that amazed me about this movie was that Audrey Hepburn had a cameo of 1 line (5 words) in the first 5 minutes of the movie. I suspect this may have been one of her first-ever appearances on the big screen before she became an international film star in later years.
Anyhow, the movie is only a little over an hour long ... well worth it if it comes to Turner Classic Movies on your cable network.
