Review of The Last Witch Hunter (2015) by David M — 16 Feb 2016
When you see a Vin Diesel film, you pretty much know what to expect: the gravelly-voiced one growling his way through some lines, some flashy action sequences and a pretty-indecipherable plot.
All of the above holds true for this, in which Vin Diesel plays a 15th century(?) warrior named Kaulder cursed with immortality when he manages to slay the evil Witch Queen. Cue the film then jumping forward to present-day America, with Kaulder still doing his thing, and still referring to his friend Michael Caine as 'kid', with it then introducing some muddled rules around the interaction of witches (a separate race) with humans.
Unfortunately not the best use of Vin Diesel's talents.
