Review of The Last Witch Hunter (2015) by Russ K — 12 Mar 2016
This film promised to be something special, with DTS X a special film night was expected. The story pleased some in my family but left me feeling it was poorly conceived and relied to much on the big name film stars who we like and not the story which seemed to be fractured.
With so many competing TV series of the same theme and these tv series providing some excellent entertainment they needed to come up with something outstanding and it simply doesn't hit the mark for me.
My wife says she's easily pleased so that makes a change, for me this film was a let down, the story, sound both in DTS X and DTS Master HD left me wondering if they actually mixed it correctly, I had to stop and compare it to a Star Trek film to see if the amp was broken, and I know how to set my audio up, it was not.
The film was not high quality sadly a disappointment for me, entertaining for some of the family without quality expectations yes apparently ok. Value for money No.
