Review of The Last Witch Hunter (2015) by Mario C — 28 May 2016
I've enjoyed several Vin Diesel movies for years. He has created genial roles like Dom Toretto and Richard Riddick. In this movie, however, Vin only brings a fraction of Dom's sense of humor. I think Rose Leslie was miscast, and there is little if any chemistry between the characters, even as protector-protegé of sorts.
Michael Caine and Elijah Wood roles are pale and two dimensional. I found the main premise to be quite good, but it lies underdeveloped and misexploited by the lame script, which flattened the acting to a humorless porridge of scenes.
