Review of The Last Winter (2006) by David C — 13 Apr 2009
An effective, sometimes creepy thriller that turns into a mostly un-scary monster movie. I was mesmerized by the ethereal score as well as the haunting first 45 minutes, but then quickly lost interest as the monster emerged.
Such a shame for such a great setup. This movie is nowhere near as awesome as Carpenter's "The Thing".
