Review of The Last Waltz (1978) by Shawn E — 20 Jul 2010
An absolutely glorious concert film that any and every person who considers themselves a fan of music in the slightest MUST experience. More so than a celebration and send off of one of the greatest bands America has had to offer, The Band, 'The Last Waltz' is a celebration/send off of an era of music that can never truly be topped.
Featuring the likes of Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Van Morrison, Muddy Waters, incredible performances from incredible musicians, and to top it all off an absolutely beautiful rendition of Dylan's I Shall Be Released to close the film, this is one that shouldn't be missed and it deserves to be seen in the highest quality with the best possible sound system.
