Thought-provoking movie that's worth seeing, but that doesn't change the fact it's bizarre. The scene in which Jesus pulls out his own heart and tells his disciples to leave his families is creepy for so many reasons.
Loved it. Barely knew anything about the controversy before seeing it, but I understand why it received so much.
