Review of The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Charlie P — 01 Jul 2008
Quite possibly the most honest movie about Jesus ever made, and slightly undeserving of such great controversy. The subject matter itself would make it great, but Scorsese adds his cinematic touch to make this yet another of his many masterpieces.
As an afterthought, I also love Paul Schrader's dvd commentary on how nobody would ever shoot a movie in Aramaic. Priceless.
