Review of The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Meagan M — 11 Jul 2009
Scorsese's project doesn't have a solid foundation in the gospel, but it gives that disclaimer before the show even starts. There have been countless versions of Jesus' story told, but this one is definitely the most thought provoking adaptation I've seen.
Worth seeing just for Willem Dafoe's portrayal of Christ, as he captures a human side rarely seen on the screen.
