This movie is more than a decade old and still, it can raise controversy, and that means, after 12 years, it's still fresh, a brilliant masterpiece! It portrays the challenge, the responsibility, the temptation, the sacrifice, the pain, the beauty in a real, original way.
The cinematography is magnificent, the music is mind-boggling, and Willem Dafoe...wow, what can be said about him that does him justice? No one could have delivered the role of Jesus the way he did in this movie.
