Review of The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Martin I — 05 Feb 2009
Best movie about Christ? I must respectfully disagree. Here Christ is protrayed as selfish and cowardly, proving that he was a man like all the rest of us. I also liked how the movie set up the ending to justify the title.
Still, there was just something off about Dafoe as Jesus, and even Keitel as Judas, plus some parts were just poorly written and other parts dragged on and had me checking my watch. Overall it was decent, not worth all the hype though.
