Review of The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Matt S — 07 Jul 2009
This is probably the most tasteful, compelling piece about Jesus Christ. My favorite character here is Judas, and the character of Jesus is played with this awe and pride that's almost, still for me as a cynical shit that I am, hard to believe.
It's tough to watch, especially the scene at the beginning with Jesus taking up the cross, but even if you're a cynic like me, it's still one of those essential films.
