Review of The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Connor G — 18 Nov 2013
Nikos Kazantzakis was a man who saw beauty in the humanity of Jesus and emphasized it in a way that challenged the masses understanding of the infamous figure. I believe Scorssese did an amazing job capturing the crucial parts of the novel that can be hard to mentally digest, while allowing the audience to unwind with the inspiring and more familiar stories of Jesus' life, which are still filmed with an underlining intensity and beauty.
8.4/10.
