Review of The Last Supper (1995) by Alex H — 31 Dec 2009
This film completely confuses me, I really can't tell if it is supposed to be as intentionally awful as it is. Basically a load of post-grad students have a dinner party, kill their guests and this repeats over and over again until the end. There are also some pretty silly and pointless montages that are thrown in for no real reason other than to fill up time and to try and pass for "character development" when there really isn't any otherwise.
I also found the film to be pretty patronising and extremely up it's own arse, which is ironic considering it is the same self-rightousness that the film is preaching so heavily against. None of the characters are at all likeable so there is no-one really for you to root for and it has to rely on its own ludicrousness for laughs. Stay away.
