Review of The Last Station (2009) by Peterson H — 01 Mar 2010
This is very lifeless and hum drum work that doesn't capture any of the zest and passion of Tolstoy's literature. Mirren and Plummer overact the the utmost, but it seems sort of befitting with the story.
Though their isn't really a necessity for the story they try to bring some vitality to them. The problem is that the film doesn't go anywhere. It is a stagnant as they come.
