Review of The Last Station (2009) by Sharon S — 05 Mar 2010
No prior interest in Tolstoy needed as Mirren and Plummer pull you into the middle of their relationship. Giamatti plots, pushes, and pulls but, in the end, can't separate the author from his countess.
McAvoy finding his naivette slowly unraveling is an added bonus in this film of excellent performances.
