Review of The Last Station (2009) by Beth K — 28 Mar 2010
Moving account of Tolstoy's last year, and the battle of wills to determine who would hold rights to his literary legacy. It was funny and touching, with a hint of politics. I loved that all of the papers were written in Russian even though everyone was speaking in English.
I thought that this movie was beautifully woven together, and Helen Mirren was absolutely the key to its success.
