Review of The Last Station (2009) by Sergio R — 28 May 2010
I don't think I was intellectually adequate to fully absorb and appreciate this film. I'm not well-read enough. I know nothing of Tolstoy, other than the name. I know little of his influence, and this film wasn't intended to change that.
It was about the struggle over the rights to his work. No real right or wrong side. The acting, however, was superb. Perhaps this film has inspired me to learn more and read Tolstoy. Then I can review this film again.
