Larger-than-life absorbing drama, a chilly warning on how ideas may end up enslaving its own creators. Mr Plummer and Ms Mirren excel at conveying the passionate disagreements of a lifelong couple, where the undertow of love remains undeterred.
Last Station is a glimmering homage to individual freedom and responsibility.
