A great cast deliver excellent performances in an otherwise slow and gentle observation of Tolstoy's final days. Only Helen Mirren really manages an emotional connection with the audience, while the rest of the characters are a little undeveloped.
Could have been a lot more interesting, but enjoy it for the performances.
