Review of The Last Station (2009) by Radek C — 10 Sep 2010
Didn't expect it to be a great love story, but it was.
At first I didn't know what to make of the film, but eventually, I realized I was seeing a great depiction of an imperfect but genuinely passionate love between two people who've been married for 48 years.
I wish they'd skipped the love story of the young people though. James McAvoy is great, but his love subplot with Masha comes off feeble next to the combustible relationship of Lev and Sofya.
